Rebecca Montanaro

Musical Theatre, Vocal Coach

Rebecca Montanaro has had a lifelong passion for music. She graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music as well as her Grade 8 Piano, and Grade 2 Theory through the Royal Conservatory of Music. Rebecca has a solid musical foundation with a proficiency in many instruments including the piano and french horn. Rebecca has performed in choirs, as a soloist and in instrumental ensembles. Over the years Rebecca has had a great deal of experience in Musical Theatre and some of her performances include Grease, Don’t Drink the Water, Princess Ida and Trial by Jury with the Savoy Society of Ottawa and Anything Goes with Oshawa Little Theatre.

Rebecca has taught children at both recreational and competitive levels.
She teaches private vocal lessons and runs a musical theatre summer camp. She is also the vocal coach for Steve Maclean Public School’s Annual Musical and created and runs the school’s Glee Club.

Rebecca has worked tirelessly with students both individually and in the larger ensembles to perfect their performances to standing ovations! Her positive attitude and ability to understand the individual needs of her students make her an exceptional vocal coach. She strives to make sure that each and every one of her pupils feel (and sound!) like stars.
